I only have a few random thoughts for today:
1. We got two comp tickets a piece today at our speaker series at the Luxor to go see Carrot Top (some comedian, and from what I’ve heard, he’s hilarious). Anyone want to go?!
2. BIG accomplishment! We didn’t get lectured, yelled at, or anything else this morning when we were all together at the speaker series. Nor did I get admonished when I got back to Bellagio about my weekend activities. This is a good thing.
3. I’m feeling particularly lazy and don’t want to do anything, least of all work out, but I really need to. And do homework. Which, of course, I don’t want to do that either.
4. Res Life didn’t approve my request to miss Monday and Tuesday of RA training so I can finish out the internship here because they “need to have a fully trained staff for the residents when they move in.” FANTASTIC. I’m annoyed. Don’t tell me that putting some newbie through one week of training will make them (1) more prepared for all that shit we deal with regularly and (2) a better RA (in every sense possible) than me, a veteran of all things Res Life. Can someone please tell me how this makes any sense at all?! I’m only a little bit upset and angry and bitter…
5. Just a quick side note: I’ve decided that there are few (if any) things sexier than a hottie with an Australian accent telling you your gorgeous. Or any other sort of pet name, for that matter. I think we should go back in time so I can relive Saturday. I’m allowed to be a little hung up on this, no?
ResLife being ResLife. If they didn’t make absolutely moronic decisions on a regular basis the world would collapse.
So what’s going to happen since they’re being jerks? And I think the ResLife jerks may be part of the Karmic balance of the universe because of the Aussies.
